Current Position and Past Experience
Shannon Bryant is currently Executive Director of Workforce and Economic Development at Minnesota State Colleges and Universities. Previously, she was the Executive Vice President for Corporate Solutions and Economic Development at Tarrant County College (TTC) in Fort Worth, Texas.
After arriving at TCC, Bryant became the host of The Workforce Lens podcast and the Editor-in-Chief of The Lens, a magazine that focuses on workforce and economic development issues.
Prior to joining TCC, Bryant held several roles at Sinclair Community College, including Vice President of Workforce Development and Corporate Services, and Director of Workforce Development and Strategic Initiatives.
Education, Honors and Achievements
Bryant earned a Masters of Education in Corporate Training and Knowledge Management from Jones International University in Centennial, Colorado in 2008. She also has a Bachelor's of Applied and General Studies in Marketing, which she earned from the University of Cincinnati in 2001.
Bryant is also a Certified Workforce Development Professional , awarded by National Association of Workforce Development Professionals.
Personal Details and Community Involvement
Most recently, Bryant was inducted into the Marion Technical College Alumni Hall of Fame.
Bryant was also named to the Dayton Business Journal’s POWER 50 Most Influential Women of the Dayton Region in both 2018 and 2019.
