Current Position and Past Experience
Raquel Garcia Rust is a Senior Proposal Coordinator at Texas State University, in the Office of Research and Sponsored Programs. In this role, she creates and manages working relationships with university faculty and staff, as well as local, state and federal agencies to develop and execute grant proposals. Her experience includes proposal preparation and submission; eRA proposal system maintenance, training and support; and award transition from pre- to post-award.
Prior to joining Texas State University in 2012, Garcia Rust served as a Grants Administrator for the City of Kyle, Texas.
Education, Honors and Achievements
Garcia Rust holds a Masters in Public Administration and a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science and History from Texas State University. She is a Certified Research Administrator.

In her free time, Raquel enjoys cooking, visiting National & State Parks, and spending quality time with her dachshunds.
