Quinn Shamblin | Executive Director of Information Services, Boston University

Current Position and Past Experience
Quinn Shamblin is the Information Security Officer and Executive Director of Information Services at Boston University. He also serves as a Corporate Advisor to Astra Identity.

Prior to this, Shamblin was the Director of Information Security at the University of Cincinnati, where he also served as Adjunct Professor and Information Security Investigator.

Shamblin served in the Navy from 1996-2000, first serving as a Senior Instructor for the Nuclear Power School before progressing to becoming the Director of Multimedia Development. From here, he went to Procter and Gamble for three years, serving as an Internal Data Transport where he developed and supported the technology used to transport information critical to P&G’s just-in-time manufacturing process. From here, Shamblin served for two years overseeing contract governance at HP.

Education, Honors and Achievements
Shamblin earned a B.S. in Physics at Andrews University in 1996. In 2009, he completed his MBA at the University of Cincinnati College of Business.

He is the winner of the 2014 CS050 Award for Innovation in Security, granted by CSO Magazine.

Personal Details and Community Involvement
Quinn enjoys building furniture, DIY home renovation, origami and movies.
