Current Position and Past Experience
Patricia (Pat) serves as Director, University of Connecticut’s School of Business, Connecticut Information Technology Institute. She brings to this position a unique perspective as her experience represents the nexus of industry and academia.

Pat spent over 25 years in industry where she worked for Deloitte and KMPG consulting and in senior position for Citibank NA, Credit Suisse, and First Data. Throughout her career, she was responsible for implementing systems to institutionalize change. Spending significant time internationally, Ms. Tyre has always focused on workforce development to keep pace with advancing technology. Ms. Tyre has assisted organizations in technical skill needs assessments, customized curriculum, eLearning programs and remote training.

Since 2016, Ms. Tyre taught graduate level courses in Global Leadership and Agile Software Design at NYU and the University of Connecticut, School of Business. She co-founded DiVRsity, LLC a startup company that builds virtual reality games for leadership training, as well as mentoring other startups. An author of various articles, public speaker, and contributor to two books on Microfinance.

Education, Honors and Achievements
Ms. Tyre received a BS at Boston University, and an MBA at New York University. She is twice certified as a Master Black Belt in Lean Six Sigma. She got her Professional Scrum Master certification, as well as received a Project Management Professional (PMP) and Agile Certified Professional (ACP) Certifications from the Project Management Institute ®.

Personal Details and Community Involvement
Ms. Tyre is Treasurer and Finance Committee Chair of the New York City Community Chorus, a non-audition community chorus. Always an avid sports enthusiast, her summer passion is golf. Her winter sports are platform tennis and pickle ball, playing all with wild abandon.
