Nancy Coleman | Dean of the Division of Continuing Education and University Extension, Harvard University
Current Position and Past Experience Nancy Coleman is the Dean of the Division of Continuing Education and University Extension at Harvard University, a role she took on in July 2020. Coleman has also served as the Board President for the University Professional and Continuing Education Association since 2018.
From 2016 to 2020, she was the Associate Provost and Founding Director of Strategic Growth Initiatives at Wellesley College. She was also the Vice President of Academic Services at Keypath Education from 2014 to 2016. From 2008 to 2014, Coleman was the Director of Distance Education at Boston University, after serving for three years with BU as the Assistant Director of Distance Education.

She wrote her dissertation on leadership behaviors in distance education units. Coleman earned her BS in Marketing from Stonehill College and her MBA from Boston University’s School of Management. Coleman is a certified PMP.
Coleman led BU’s Distance Education Department to several national distance learning awards including Sloan-C Excellence in Institution Wide Online Learning, 2010 and multiple United States Distance Learning Association (USDLA) teaching and curriculum awards.
