Current Position and Past Experience
Mary Ross is currently Registrar at University Canada West. Prior, she was a contractor at Capilano University. She was also Registrar at Douglas College, and Vancouver Community College where she was also Director of Enrollment and Student Services. For three years, she was Director of Admissions and Records at Maricopa Community Colleges.

Education, Honors and Achievements
Mary Ross holds a Bachelor of Arts (Honours) from Memorial University of Newfoundland. She has completed Strategic Enrolment Cerrtification through AACRAO, a year-long Women in Leadership in Higher Education Program, and numerous professional development seminars in enrolment management, strategic planning, appeals tribunals, student success planning, one-stop delivery, and team development.

Personal Details and Community Involvement
Mary is an author having published her a memoir, An Unnatural Choice, in 2019. She is currently working on a book about women who lead and influence. Before her work day begins, Mary is up for an hour or two of writing followed by a 6k run. She lives in the West End of Vancouver with her husband where together they enjoy long walks on the sea wall around English Bay and into Stanley Park. Born and raised in Newfoundland, she still calls “the rock” home (although Vancouver is a close second) and credits her Newfie heritage as the foundation for her leadership style that is grounded in compassion and kindness.
