Martin Van Der Werf is the Director of Editorial and Postsecondary Policy at the Georgetown University Center on Education and the Workforce in Washington, D.C. He shares his expertise through research reports, focusing on higher ed issues and policy.
Prior to his time at Georgetown, Van Der Werf was a Marketing and Communications Consultant for Huron Consulting Group, where he helped colleges and universities define their markets.
He also worked as a journalist for 25 years, in both reporter and editor roles for The Chronicle of Higher Education.
Education, Honors and Achievements
Van Der Werf earned a Master's in Higher Education Administration from Georgetown University in 2021.
He also earned a Bachelor of Science in Journalism from Boston University.
