Current Position and Past Experience
Since 2005, Lucie Lapovsky has been the Principal of Lapovsky Consulting, where she specializing in conducting searches for senior institutional administrators, works with governing boards and institutional leadership to improve effectiveness and helps to solve strategic financial problems.

Before launching her consultancy, Lapovsky spent five years as the President of Mercy College and nine years before that as Vice President for Finance at Goucher College. Before entering postsecondary administration, Lapovsky spent 14 years with the Maryland Higher Education Commission as Director of Finance and Facilities.

Lapovsky sites on the Board of numerous higher education institutions. She is a Board Member and Chair of the Audit Committee at Cedar Crest College. She’s also a Board Member and Chair of the Student Affairs Committee at the American Public University System.

Education, Honors and Achievements
Lapovsky earned her BA in Economics from Goucher College and her MA in Economics for the University of Maryland College Park. She remained at the University of Maryland to earn her PhD in Economics in 1981.
