Current Position and Past Experience
Linda García is currently Executive Director of the Center for Community College Student Engagement at The University of Texas at Austin. Previously, she was Assistant Director for nearly four years. Prior to The University of Texas, she was Vice President of Community College Relations at National American University for three years. She was also Assitant Dean of Centers at Lone Star College – North Harris.

Education, Honors and Achievements
García holds a Doctor of Philopsophy from the Community College Leadership Program, as well as a Bachelor of Journalism in Broadcast Journalism from The University of Texas at Austin. She also has a Master of Arts in Interdisciplinary Studies from The University of Texas at Brownsville, which is now known as The University of Texas Rio Grande Valley.

Personal Details and Community Involvement
García enjoys hiking with her two goldendoodles, which she named after characters (El Guapo and Dusty Bottoms) from her favorite movie – Three Amigos.
