Current Position and Past Experience
Katie Brown is a Senior Federal Policy Analyst with National Skills Coalition, working to advance NSC’s Washington-based advocacy efforts through federal legislation, agency regulation and stakeholder engagement. In this position, Katie provides detailed analyses of current and proposed federal legislation pertaining to the post-secondary education system and post-secondary education programs across all disciplines.

Prior to joining the NSC, Katie worked as a Senior Legislative Assistant on Capitol Hill. During her six-year tenure in public service, Katie worked in the personal offices of two members of the U.S. House of Representatives—managing legislative portfolios that included education, healthcare, labor, tax, Social Security, housing and other pertinent policy issues. Katie holds a bachelor’s degree from Shippensburg University and is based in Washington, DC.
