Current Position and Past Experience
Kate Giovacchini is a higher education technology leader who passionately believes in the power of education to change lives and change the world. She has more than a decade of experience working at Arizona State University where she has spent her time in the areas of process improvement, digital transformation, online education technology, business intelligence, ERP delivery and large initiative execution.
For the past six years, Kate has been engaged in the digital credential space, working on solutions for learners that utilize distributed ledger technologies. She leads the Trusted Learner Network, an initiative set designed to deliver both the technologies required to revolutionize digital credentials and the trusted relationships to make them valuable.
The Trusted Learner Network celebrated its fifth year in 2024 and is moving forward with higher education partners to make digital, verifiable credentials accessible to all institutions to empower their learners with the achievements of their success.
Education, Honors and Achievements
Kate’s passion for digital credentialing emerges from her humanities background in literary criticism (Bachelor of English Literature) and her technology training in systems design and management (Masters of Science in Information Management).
Personal Details and Community Involvement
Kate is an enthusiastic gardener, an avid reader and a dedicated community volunteer. She takes great pride in cultivating her garden, continuously expanding her knowledge through literature and actively contributing her time and talents to support local initiatives.
