Current Position and Past Experience
John Milam currently serves as the Executive Director of Knowledge to Work at Lord Fairfax Community College. Milam has held several positions at Lord Fairfax Community College such as Principal Investigator and Project Director of Classification of Instructional Programs 2010 Data Tools/ Website and IPEDS State Data Center. Milam also served as the Director of Planning and Institutional Effectiveness at LFCC.

For seven years, Milam was the CEO and Executive Director of HigherEd.org, Inc. Milam also worked for the University of Virginia at the Curry School of Education with the Department of Education Leadership as a Research Associate Professor. Earlier in his career, Milam served as the Director of Management Information and Analysis/Coordinator of Institutional Research at George Mason University.

Education, Honors and Achievements
Milam earned his Bachelor’s degree in Liberal arts and Sciences/ Liberal Studies and his Master’s degree in Adult and Continuing Education and Teaching from Goddard College. In 1989, Milam earned his Ph.D. in Higher Education/Higher Education Administration from the University of Virginia.
