Current Position and Past Experience
With more than 25 years of experience in postsecondary education leadership, Geoff Wilmshurst joined Camosun College in 2011 as Director of Camosun International, subsequently taking on his current role of Vice President of Partnerships in 2016. Concurrently, Wilmshurst serves as Executive Director of the Camosun Foundation. As Vice President, Partnerships, Wilmshurst actively engages with regional, provincial and national decision-makers by identifying trends, leading strategic business opportunities and steering partnership funding into Camosun College.

Prior to joining Camosun, Wilmshurst was Business Development Director, Canada at Study Group, where he negotiated and developed the first successful Study Group pathway program at a university in Canada.

Education, Honors and Achievements
Geoff Wilmshurst holds degree a BA in Political Science from Saint Mary’s University and completed graduate studies at Carleton University in International Relations. He has a Certificate in Mandarin Chinese from Shandong Normal University in Jinan, China.

Personal Details and Community Involvement
Wilmshurst has been actively engaged in the international education community in Canada and abroad. From 2015-17 he was a member of the Board of Directors of the Canadian Bureau of International Education and was the past Chair of the Board of AFS Interculture Canada.

He enjoys playing tennis, hiking with his dog Luna and sipping whiskey with his wife Branka. He has traveled to over 60 countries and has lived and worked in China, India, Japan and New York City.
