Current Position and Past Experience
Gary Nickerson has served over 25 years in numerous roles for Oklahoma Baptist University’s Business Affairs and Information Systems and Services. Since 1997, he has served as Assistant Vice President for Business Affairs and IS&S.

Education, Honors and Achievements
Nickerson graduated from Oklahoma Baptist University in 1989 with a degree in Religion and a minor in computer science. He currently supervises over a dozen employees and oversees all computer operations for the university.

Accomplishments in his tenure at OBU include overseeing OBU’s transference to their current ERP system, Ellucian’s Banner, and developing the long range strategic plan for OBU’s IS&S department and campus-wide technology use through the year 2020.

Personal Details and Community Involvement
Nickerson has served bi-vocationally as pastor of Hilltop Baptist Church, Shawnee, Okla., since 1989, and has organized and led over 10 mission trips domestically and overseas with his church.

He is also on the board of directors for the Shawnee Lions Club.
