Current Position and Past Experience
Emily Donnelli Sallee is Vice Provost and Professor of English at Park University and has been in the position since August 2022. Since joining Park University in 2004, Sallee has held a variety of positions, including Dean of the College of Liberal Arts and Sciences, Chair of the Department of English and Modern Languages, Program Coordinator for First-Year Writing, and Director of the Center for Excellence in Teaching and Learning. Prior, she was Assistant Director of the Writing Center at The University of Kansas.
Donnelli Sallee’s research focuses on faculty engagement, educational development and online teaching and learning. Her work has appeared in, among other journals, Teaching and Learning Inquiry, To Improve the Academy, and Across the Disciplines.
Education, Honors and Achievements
Donnelli Sallee holds a Doctor of Philosophy in English and a Master of Arts in English from The University of Kansas. She also earned a Bachelor of Arts in English and Education from William Jewell College.
Personal Details and Community Involvement
Emily loves to read, cook and travel with her extended family. She lives in Kansas City, MO with her husband and four children.
