Current Position and Past Experience
David Thomas is the Director of Academic Technology at the University of Colorado Denver, including UCD's Anschutz Medical Campus. Thomas is also an Assistant Professor Attendant in the Department of Architecture. He studies fun, how to make fun objects and places and how fun increases motivation, innovation, creativity and engagement. In 2014, Thomas published "A World of Fun: The New York World’s Fair 1964/1965" in "Meet Me At the Fair: A World's Fair Reader" for Etc Press. For two years, Thomas served as the Director of Learning Architecture at Pearson Learning Solutions.

Thomas also volunteered his time as a Board Member for the Colorado Distance Learning Association and was part of the advisory board for the New Media Consortium.

Education, Honors and Achievements
Thomas earned his Ph.D. in Architecture from the University of Colorado at Denver.
