David Rosowsky | Former Provost, University of Vermont

Current Position and Past Experience
David Rosowsky is Professor of Engineering and served as Provost and Senior Vice President at the University of Vermont (UVM) from 2013-2019. Rosowsky came to UVM from Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute where he served as Dean of Engineering. Prior to that, he served as Head of the Zachry Department of Civil Engineering at Texas A&M University, where he also held the A.P. and Florence Wiley Chair in Civil Engineering.

Education, Honors and Achievements
David Rosowsky earned BS and MS degrees in civil engineering from Tufts University, and a PhD in civil engineering from Johns Hopkins University. A recognized expert in the field of structural reliability, he is the recipient of the American Society of Civil Engineers (ASCE) Walter L. Huber Research Prize, the T.K. Hseih Award from the Institution of Civil Engineers (UK), and the ASCE Norman Medal.
