Current Position and Past Experience
Collin Sullivan is currently Program Director of Digital Credential Innovation at University of Maryland, Baltimore County (UMBC) and has been in the position since August 2024. In this role, Collin collaborates with faculty, staff, external campus partners and students to develop high-quality microcredentials derived from courses, programs or activities that offer authentic learning experiences and promote lifelong learning and engagement. 

Previously, he served as the Coordinator of Digital Credentialing, Instructional Systems Specialist, and Learning Management System Support Specialist at UMBC. Prior, he was Student Intern for the Civic Learning & Democratic Engagement Meeting at American Democracy Project at National Association of State Colleges & Universities.

Education, Honors and Achievements
Sullivan is a Doctoral student of Teaching and Learning, Policy and Leadership at University of Maryland. He holds a Master of Public Policy, a Bachelor of Science in Information Systems and a Bachelor of Arts in Economics from UMBC.

Sullivan has been serving serve as a co-chair of the 1EdTech Digital Credential Innovation Leadership Network (ILN) since 2023 and was awarded as a 1EdTech Leader in 2023.

Personal Details and Community Involvement
Sullivan is a proud Disney adult, fully indulging in the magic of the parks. He’s also a proud Potterhead, always ready for a Harry Potter movie marathon or to chat about the wizarding world. At home, he channels his creativity by building intricate LEGO sets, many of which decorate his space.

When the weather cooperates, he loves taking his e-bike out for a spin—it’s the perfect way to enjoy the outdoors while getting in a bit of exercise. And, whether he’s cruising through the neighborhood or relaxing at home, he’s likely listening to some classic rock, with Fleetwood Mac and Stevie Nicks at the top of his playlist.
