Current Position and Past Experience
Since 2010, Chris Bustamante has served as President of Rio Salado College. Before he was appointed President, Bustamante was Dean of Academic Affairs and Vice President of the Community Development at Rio Salado.

Before joining Rio Salado, Bustamante served as Director of State Relations and then Director of Government and External Affairs at Maricopa Community Colleges. Bustamante was also a Legislative aide in the Arizona House of Representatives.

Bustamante serves on several national and state boards including Higher Education Research and Development Institute, the National Community College Hispanic Council and the Continuous Quality Improvement Network, where he serves as President.

Education, Honors and Achievements
Bustamante earned his BS in Business Administration and Finance from the University of Arizona and his EdD in Educational Leadership from Northern Arizona University.
