Current Position and Past Experience
Since 2009, Billie Boles has served as a Technology Solutions Analyst in the Division of Continuing Education at the University of Calgary. Prior to joining the University of Calgary, Boles was a Helpdesk Analyst for SHL > EDS Western Canada Branch and held that position for over 11 years.

Billie currently supports the Destiny One product for Continuing Education at the University of Calgary. This includes troubleshooting problems, Quality Assurance testing, answering user inquiries, system administration, creating training materials and user guides and presenting one on one and in class training to the staff users.

Prior to working at the University of Calgary, she worked as a Help Desk Analyst for SHL-EDS for over 11 years, supporting users from varied industries such as anything from Pulp and Paper Mills to Large financial conglomerates using AS400, Mainframe and Windows Computing systems.

Education, Honors and Achievements
Billie earned her Pre-Careers certificate from SAIT and is currently working towards finishing the Business and Professional Program from the University of Calgary. Billie also holds several certifications including Project Management Fundamental Certificate, Business Analysis Certificate and ITIL Foundation Certificate in IT Service Management. She is currently progressing through the eLearning Certificate program with the University of Calgary.

Billie started her education in a one-room school in Manitoba, which provided a solid foundation and desire for lifelong learning, attended Carberry Collegiate Institute and Whitewood High Schools.

Personal Details and Community Involvement
Billie has eclectic taste in relaxation outside of the workplace. She is a scratch cook converting favourite family recipes into delicious paleo and gluten free offerings for her loved ones on restricted diets. For friends without restrictions she makes wine, beer and cider to enjoy, hopefully by a fire pit. She has three Husky Grandpuppies who keep her very busy asking for as many treats as they can get, and builds great muscles reigning them in on walks.

As often as possible she volunteers building and renovating Kingdom Halls and has collected a wealth of hand tools that often come into the workplace for little fixes and installations. When it comes to tools, many have said “If Billie doesn’t have it, you don’t need it”.
