Current Position and Past Experience
Dr. Bernard Bull is President of Goddard College, an experimental college in the progressive education tradition that is rooted in learner voice, choice, agency, and ownership. Prior to taking on his current role, he served as Associate Professor of Education, Vice Provost for Curriculum and Academic Innovation, and as Chief Innovation Officer at Concordia-University Wisconsin (CUW). Bull has been a speaker, writer, and consultant on topics related to futures and educational innovation for over twenty years.

Education, Honors and Achievements
Bull earned his B.A. in History, Education and Theology from Concordia University-Wisconsin and his M.A in Curriculum and Instruction from Concordia University-River Forest. Bull earned his Master of Liberal Studies from the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee and, in 2007, his Ed.D. in Instructional Technology from Northern Illinois University.

In 2012, Bull received the Wagner Distance Education Leadership Award from the Distance Learning Administrator’s Conference. Bull was honored with the Badge Alliance Badge Visionary from Badge Alliance in 2015. In 2013 he was a Thrivent Fellow for current and emerging executive leaders in higher education, and in 2017 he served as the Jonathan D. Harber Fellow in Education and Entrepreneurship at Wesleyan University in Middletown, CT.
