Current Position and Past Experience
Barry Thomas is an adjunct professor at Carroll Community College. He also teaches courses in an adjunct capacity at Stevenson University.

Prior to this, he served as Campus Dean at Strayer University and as Superintendent’s Designee (Hearing Officer) for Baltimore County Public Schools.

Education, Honors and Achievements
Thomas earned his Master’s degree at The John Hopkins University in 1979. In 1996, he completed his MED at Loyola College in Maryland. He is ABD status with his doctoral program.

Personal Details and Community Involvement
When not teaching, Barry enjoys traveling and spending time with his family. He is a certified mediator for the District and Circuit Courts of MD. For several years, Barry was a certified mental health specialist with the American Red Cross chapter in Baltimore, MD.
