Alison Winzeler | Alternative Licensure Director and Pathway to Practice Coordinator in the College of Education, North Carolina State University

Current Position and Past Experience
Alison Winzeler currently serves as the Alternative Licensure Director and the Pathway to Practice Coordinator for lateral entry CBE programs for the College of Education at NC State University. Winzeler is also the Director of NC TEACH at NC State University and has been in this role since 2008. Earlier in her career, Winzeler taught English at Wake County Public School System for seven years, where she also served as National Honor Society adviser and Newspaper adviser.

Education, Honors and Achievements
Winzeler earned her BA in Literature from the University of North Carolina at Asheville and her MA in Secondary English Education from Wake Forest University. Winzeler is currently working towards a PhD from North Carolina State University in Educational Evaluation and Policy Analysis. She holds a North Carolina teaching license in Secondary English Education.

Personal Details and Community Involvement
Winzeler enjoys spending time with her family, especially her two-year-old daughter Clara. She loves travelling, visiting the North Carolina beaches and mountains, and exploring nearby parks and museums. She is also an avid cyclist and participates in group fundraising bike rides.
