Current Position and Past Experience
Jeff Pallin spent 25 years in business development and marketing in the Entertainment Technology Industry with Bose Corporation, JBL Professional, QSC Audio and TOA as well as managing a successful systems contracting firm in Chicago. Raised in Boston, he holds advanced degrees in Mathematical Logic and Business Administration. He served on the Board of Directors for TOA Corporation in Japan and currently is active in the nonprofit sector as a Board member for a prestigious Early Childhood Development Center in Palo Alto, CA. After leaving the corporate world, he consulted with companies around the US in business development. While doing research for one client in Promotion, he was drawn into Education. He started teaching graduate and undergraduate courses in Marketing at several Bay Area Universities and still does. He joined UC Berkeley Extension in 2010 as Department Chair of Business and Management and in January of 2015, he joined the Workforce Institute at the San Jose/Evergreen Community College District as Dean of Workforce and Economic Development. He is proud to say that the challenges of Workforce Development are far more rewarding than anything he has encountered thus far in his career.
Education, Honors and Achievements
Pallin earned his BS in Mathematical Logic from Boston University and his MS in Mathematical logic from the University of Wisconsin—Madison. He earned his MBA from Boston University in 1984.
Personal Details and Community Involvement
For two years, Pallin served as a Board Member and on the Marketing Committee and Finance Committee of the International Child Resource Institute.
