Current Position and Past Experience
David Edwin Stone has made a career leading university efforts in building institutional capacity and implementing high impact practices. Dr. Stone serves as the Director of Collaborative Programs at The Pennsylvania State University. In this role he supports the development of shared academic programs that span campus and college boundaries. Dr. Stone's research area is focused on organizational change and development but he has conducted cross-cultural, international research in the use of virtual worlds in Foreign Language Instruction in China and is interested in the use of technology to improve access to education at a broad scale.

Education, Honors and Achievements
David Edwin Stone earned a PhD in Instructional Technology from Georgia State University as well as a Masters Degree. He earned an undergraduate degree in Computer Science from Southern Polytechnic State University's School of Computing and Software Engineering (Now part of Kennesaw State University).

Personal Details and Community Involvement
Dr. Stone has been active in STEM outreach programs for middle and secondary students, including the BEST Robotics competition, Future City, and Science Olympiad. He has served on University System of Georgia committees and is a member of the Association for Educational and Communication Technology (AECT).
