Current Position and Past Experience
Dave King retired from Oregon State University in 2017, after a year as the Special Assistant for Innovation in the Office of the Provost at Oregon State University. This followed eight years as OSU’s Associate Provost of University Outreach and Engagement. He was responsible for Extended Campus, Summer Session, Open Educational Resources, Professional and Continuing Education and Extension course and educational media development before stepping into his new role, which is focused on innovation and transformation of the higher education space.

Prior to this, King also served as the Executive Director of Indiana Higher Education Telecommunication System and the Indiana College Network.

King was also chair of the national State Networks Association from 2004-2006.

Education, Honors and Achievements
King received his Bachelor’s degree from California State University, Chico in 1972. He completed his Masters degree at the University of Oregon in 1983.

Personal Details and Community Involvement
When not engrossed in considering the future of higher education, King is an active photographer who spends much time on landscape images.
