Current Position and Past Experience
Since 2015, Lesley Nichols has served as the Executive Director of Professional Studies at Emerson College. This followed five years as the Director of Continuing Education at the University of North Carolina—Charlotte. Nichols had been at UNC Charlotte since 2006, where she began as the Director of Program Development and Marketing. Nichols got her start in higher education as a Program Coordinator II at the Georgia Institute of Technology, where she worked from 1995-2001. After that, she held a post as a Department Manager and Project Coordinator at the University of Illinois at Chicago for two years. She then moved on to become the Assistant Dean of Operations at the Georgia Health Sciences University, where she stayed until 2006.

Nichols also has higher education consulting experience through her past work with Demand Engine.

Education, Honors and Achievements
Nichols earned her BFA in Photographic Design from the University of Georgia. She went on to earn her MBA in Marketing from the University of Illinois at Chicago. Nichols has also earned a Certificate in Organizational Development from UNC Charlotte.

In 2009, Nichols earned the Gold Nonprofit Award at the Marketing Sherpa Email Summit for the Best Email Newsletter For Marketing Purposes.

Personal Details and Community Involvement
During her free time, Nichols enjoys photography and travel.

Nichols is serving as the Chair of the UPCEA Marketing, Enrollment and Student Services network for the 2015-2016 term. She is a frequent presenter at UPCEA conferences.
