Current Position and Past Experience
John LaBrie is the Dean and Associate Provost for Professional Education at Clark University. Prior to this he served as Professor of the Practice in Higher Education at the Graduate School of Education at Northeastern University. This followed two years as Founding Principal and Dean of Northeastern University’s first international campus in Toronto, Canada. As Founding Principal of Northeastern University Toronto, LaBrie was responsible for program innovation, institutional growth, and enhancing access to adult, international, distance and at-risk learners.

Prior to launching Northeastern University Toronto, LaBrie served as the Vice President of Professional Education and Dean of the College of Professional Studies at Northeastern University. This followed his time as Dean of Continuing Studies at Simon Fraser University and Director of Program Development at Brown University.

Education, Honors and Achievements
LaBrie earned his BS in French from the University of Maine at Fort Kent in 1991. In 1998 he earned his MSA in Administration and Management from St. Michael’s College and, in 2004, he earned his EdD in Higher Education Management from the University of Pennsylvania.

Personal Details and Community Involvement
LaBrie served as the Executive Director of the World Affairs Council of Maine from 2008-2009.
