Current Position and Past Experience
Rolondo Talbott is currently the Senior Director of the Project Management Office at Pomona College. Prior to working at Pomona College, Talbott served as Manager for NBC Entertainment Marketing Technology at NBCUniversal Media. Talbott started at NBCUniversal in 2011 working as a Senior PMO Business Analyst and later, a Portfolio Manager for the West Coast. In that role, Rolondo led a team that managed the marketing technology for television broadcast shows like “Law and Order: SVU” and “The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon,” as well as live television broadcast like “The Voice” and “Hairspray Live.” And before that, Rolondo was a Senior Business Analyst in For-profit Education. In his current role at Pomona College, Rolondo is establishing a Project Management Office that will provide the College with the framework for repeatable success in the managing of projects.
Education, Honors and Achievements
Rolondo earned his BA in Political Science with an emphasis on American Politics from the University of California, Los Angeles (1999). He also holds a Defense Intelligence Specialist Certification from the National Intelligence University and is a Certified Project Manager (PMP) from the Project Management Institute.
Personal Details and Community Involvement
Air Force veteran turned consultant, entrepreneur, entertainment professional and now Higher Education leader, Rolondo Talbott has enjoyed both a successful military and civilian professional career. Rolondo is also a published author and contributor to both local print and online parenting magazines. His children’s book series, “Uniquely ME” was listed a “2016 Top Children’s Book” on Babble.com. He is also a featured contributor to Piccolo Universe – pop icon Ricky Martin’s nationally recognized parenting website, Disney's Babble.com and Management writer on LinkedIn. Rolondo is also an Executive Board member on the UCLA Student Media Communications Board which governs all UCLA Student Media including the Daily Bruin. In his free time, Rolondo volunteers by helping Veterans navigate the job market through resume critique, interviewing skills and job searching techniques. He also serves on the board of directors, as operations director, for SoBear, LLC, a drug and alcohol rehabilitation company that facilitates and funds treatment for low-income individuals.
