Current Position and Past Experience
Robert Rosenbalm serves as the managing director of the National University Technology Network (NUTN) housed at the acclaimed R. Jan LeCroy Center for Educational Telecommunications, a leader in distance learning since 1972.
He also served as president of the Council on Military Education in the South (COMETS) and on the advisory board for Victory Media’s “Guide to Military Friendly Schools.”
Past professional engagements include multiple NUTN events, the League for Innovation in the Community College, the Distance Education and Training Council, the Oklahoma Board of Regents and multiple agencies of the U.S. Department of Defense.
In addition to assisting with conference planning and logistics for the National University Technology Network (NUTN), Rosenbalm also coordinates all aspects of outreach and partnership for the DCCCD's active military population. He is board president of COMETS, the military voluntary education advisory council for Arkansas, Louisiana, Oklahoma and Texas. He also serves on the advisory board for Victory Media’s “Guide to Military Friendly Schools.” He’s also produced several military educational documentaries and podcasts.
Education, Honors and Achievements
Robert holds a Bachelor of Arts in Journalism from the prestigious Alger H. Meadows School of the Arts at Southern Methodist University and a Master of Arts with an emphasis in organizational communication from Amberton University. In addition, he is a 2004 graduate of the Leadership DCCCD program, the 2005 class of Consortium Leadership and Renewal Academy of the North Texas Community College Consortium and the 2010 Leadership Academy of the Instructional Technology Council.
His professional honors include the Jean Sharon Griffith Student Development Leadership Award, a commendation from The Military Order of World Wars and twice recognized in the DCCCD’s Innovator of the Year category.
Personal Details and Community Involvement
He lives in Rowlett, Texas, with his two perfect children, Madeline and Zachary, and two very spoiled Italian Greyhounds.
