Current Position and Past Experience
Joseph D. Levy is currently Executive Director of Assessment and Accreditation at National Louis University. He is also a coach for the National Institute for Learning Outcomes Assessment. With experience as a student affairs practitioner, faculty member, and consultant, he has worked with nearly every institutional type to lead, foster, and develop strong and successful cultures of assessment. Joe is passionate about data-informed decision making, accountability, and promoting a student-centered approach inside and outside of the classroom.
Education, Honors and Achievements
Joe holds a Bachelor’s degree in English from Baldwin-Wallace College. He also has a Master’s in Student Affairs in Higher Education from Colorado State University. He will finish his Doctor of Education in Higher Education Leadership in 2020 from National Louis University.
Personal Details and Community Involvement
Music is a theme in his hobbies outside of work. Playing bass guitar, singing karaoke, attending concerts, and dancing are all activities he enjoys. Alongside his partner, he is appreciating the journey of parenthood for a daughter and son. Everyday is an adventure with them, so he does his best to be fully present and enjoy quality time together as a family.
