State of the Association: May 2019 Update
The Association for Continuing Higher Education (ACHE) has many exciting events coming up this year, starting with our regional conferences this spring. We are forming new partnerships and continuing others, while running initiatives such has webinars as well as our Emerging Leaders Institute. We’re also looking forward to our Annual Conference in Denver, Colorado from Oct. 14-16, 2019.
Our Denver 2019 theme is Partnerships: Innovation & Collaboration. We have great keynotes already lined up, an exciting program in development, and volunteers to help make this another fabulous event.
We are so proud to be a partner with The EvoLLLution. Through this partnership, not only is ACHE co-branding with The EvoLLLution, we are submitting articles on a regular basis covering a variety of topics based on submissions across the ACHE membership.
We have so many individuals from various colleges and universities across the country and beyond as members of ACHE! If you are yet a member, please see our website for further information at https://www.acheinc.org/.
Many of our members are working on various committees that make ACHE a premier organization. These committees include:
- Awards, Budget and Finance
- Committee on Inclusiveness
- Constitution and Bylaws
- Nominations and Elections
- Conference Planning
- Regional Leadership
- Research
- Resolutions
- Digital Programming and Communications
- The Advisory Council of Past Presidents
To get involved with any of these committees, please connect with the respective committee chair (their names and contact info are provided on our Committees Page).
Additionally, effective January 11, 2019, it’s my honor to share with all of you that Dr. Rick Osborn, Dean at East Tennessee State University (ETSU), is our new Executive Vice President and ETSU is our new ACHE home office!
We have an extremely exciting year on the horizon and I look forward to seeing you all in Denver.
Sincerely,
Dr. Dorothy Williams
ACHE President
