Current Position and Past Experience
Since 2004, Fred Holman has served as the Vice Provost, Extended Studies at the University of Nevada, Reno. Prior to this position, Holman served as the Dean of Continuing and Adult Education at St. Thomas University for eight years. This followed fourteen years at St. Ambrose University where he served first as the Dean of Continuing Education, and then as the Dean of Graduate and Continuing Education. Holman also served as St. Ambrose University’s Associate Dean of Continuing Education and Director of Conferences and Institutes.

Education, Honors and Achievements
Holman earned his Associate of Arts Degree from North Central Missouri College in 1973. In 1975, he earned his BA from William Penn University. He earned his MA from Truman State University and he earned his PhD in Higher Education Administration from the University of Iowa.
