Current Position and Past Experience
Since 2007, Larry Cooperman has been the Director of OpenCourseWare at UC Irvine, where he became a director in 2001. A respected consultant on open education, Cooperman has been an invited speaker at the UNESCO/Ministry of Education conference in Brazil, TEDx in Medellin, Colombia, the Korea OpenCourseWare Consortium conference and others.

Cooperman currently serves on the Advisory Board of the University of California’s Haiti Initiative. He is a Member of the Board of Directors of the African Virtual University and is the 2012-2014 President of the OpenCourseWare Consortium .

Education, Honors and Achievements
Cooperman earned his BA in English and Political Science from the University of Michigan. In 1997, he completed his MA in Education at UC Berkeley.
