Kristine Collins | Dean of the Division of Continuing Education, University of California—Irvine

Current Position and Past Experience
Kristine Collins is currently Dean of the Division of Continuing Education at the University of California—Irvine. Prior, she was Assistant Dean of Academic Programs in the School of Continuing Studies at the University of Toronto, where she is responsible for overseeing academic strategy, academic quality, partnerships and business development for a large portfolio of over 850 courses and 125 certificate programs. Prior, she worked for the National Film Board of Canada from 2002 until 2015 where she was responsible for the NFB’s education strategy including business development, education programs, public events and partnerships. Some of her roles included Director of Education and Institutional Markets, Manager of National Education Programs and Head of NFB Mediatheque. Kristine is on the executive committee of CAUCE and is currently serving in the role of Secretary-Treasurer.

Education, Honors and Achievements
Collins holds a Master of Arts in Communication and Culture from Ryerson University and York University. She also has a Bachelor of Arts in Communications from Concordia University where she was an Academic-All Canadian varsity athlete.

Personal Details and Community Involvement
Krissy loves sports and enjoys open water swimming, cross country skiing, basketball, volleyball and cycling. In fact, during COVID-19 she has led over 130 online workouts for friends and colleagues to help us to stay fit and connected.
