Current Position and Past Experience
Derek Tannis is currently Associate Dean of Student Success and Enrolment Management at McGill University. Previously, he was Director of Student Engagement and Learning Services and Acting Director of Strategic Enrolment Management at Saskatchewan Polytechnic. Prior, he served over nine years at University of Saskatchewan as Manager of the International Student and Study Abroad Centre.

Education, Honors and Achievements
Derek holds a Doctor of Philosophy in Educational Policy Studies from University of Alberta, a Master of Education in Educational Communications and Technology from University of Saskatchewan, a Master of Arts in Culture and Values in Education from McGill University and a Bachelor of Education in Teaching ESL from Concordia University.

Personal Details and Community Involvement
Derek enjoys the outdoors, going hiking and swimming, whenever possible, in freshwater lakes. He sees traveling as a state of mind and explores every neighborhood and community with curiosity and appreciation, and he loves cooking Lebanese meals for family and friends.
