Current Position and Past Experience
Mike Burton is currently the Campus Dean of the Forbes School of Business at Ashford University, where he also serves as an Assistant Professor. Prior to coming to Ashford, he practiced law for several years and then worked in the business sector. He then began working at Ashford as an Assistant Professor.

His diverse professional and educational background enabled him to instruct a variety of courses, but his primary areas of interest were in business law, sports and recreation management, and sales/marketing. Now, he is putting his business knowledge and long-time connection with Ashford to good use as Dean.

Education, Honors and Achievements
Burton received a BA from the University of Notre Dame and a Juris Doctor (JD) from Valparaiso University.
