Current Position and Past Experience
Joanne Goldstein is the Associate Vice President of Workforce Development and Employer Engagement at Northeastern University College of Professional Studies.
Prior to joining Northeastern, Goldstein served as Secretary of the Executive Office of Labor and Workforce Development for the Commonwealth of Massachusetts and was a member of Governor Deval Patrick’s cabinet. Prior to that she served as chief of the Fair Labor Division of the Office of the Attorney General for the Commonwealth of Massachusetts.
Education, Honors and Achievements
Goldstein graduated from Hofstra University Law School and was a member of the Law Review.
She is the recipient of numerous awards including the Cushing Gavin Award for Labor Management Relations and the Hofstra University School of Law Distinguished Alumni Award.
Personal Details and Community Involvement
Goldstein is an avid reader and enjoys gardening. She does a lot of community outreach, particularly within the Jewish and labor communities. Most of all she enjoys spending time with her three grandchildren.
