Current Position and Past Experience
Brian Downes has been the Managing Partner of EXCITEology, a company he helped found in 2011. In this position he provides consultancy and training for senior executives and executive teams.

Prior to this, Brian was the Commercial Director for the Roche Group for five years. This came on the heels of his time as a Corporate Account Manager for Expeditors International.

Education, Honors and Achievements
Brian earned his degree in Business Studies and Accountancy in 1998 from the Limerick Institute of Technology. In 2011 he earned both his Trainer Certification and his Train the Trainer Certification from the Irish Institute of Training and Development.

Downes, a certified personal trainer, is also a Master NLP Coach and certified trainer and, in 2011, became a Cognitive & Behavioural Hypnotherapist. Brian is an expert in human behaviour and performance and is a regular speaker at events throughout Ireland and Europe.

Personal Details and Community Involvement
Brian is a former elite athlete with leadership experience on the field at club, provincial and international level. He is currently an active runner and mountaineer who has completed several marathons and ultramarathons and will climb the highest mountain in Africa, Mt. Kilimanjaro, in October 2012. Brian also coaches young athletes in his local club and has coached at club and provincial level in the senior grades.
