Current Position and Past Experience
As a curious and results-driven expert in digital learning innovations, Wendy’s has over 25 years experience strategic and operational implementation of complex learning programs and systems.

As Director of Global Studio, Wendy is currently leading Deakin's microcredential initiative, Stackable Short Courses and has pioneered new and innovative approaches to social learning experiences, resulting in Deakin being the first university in the world to offer a range of postgraduate degrees on a global MOOC (massive open online course) platform.

Prior to her time at Deakin, Wendy spent 10 years at ANZ, one of Australia’s leading banks, working in Australia and India managing learning infrastructure, global learning operations and compliance. Through her experience in finance and international consulting organisations, she has developed a unique combination of extensive project engagement experience, knowledge of technology and a deep understanding of learning and collaboration.

Education, Honors and Achievements
Palmer holds a Masters in Virtual Communication from RMIT University, as well as a Bachelor of Arts in Fine Arts from the University of Melbourne.

Personal Details and Community Involvement
Outside of work Palmer enjoys motorbike touring with her partner, and has a growing interest in cultivating and cooking with indigenous bush ingredients.
