Todd Hernandez | President, Northwest State Community College

Current Position and Past Experience
Todd Hernandez is currently President of Northwest State Community College and has been with this institution since 2010. Prior, he was Executive Vice President where he provided leadership to Workforce Development, Student Services, and Academic areas of the institution. He was also Vice President for Innovation. He has also served as Chief Technology Officer, Director of Technical Training and a Database Programming Training Coordinator. Prior, he was a Controls Engineer, Department Manager and Vice Presidet of Product Development at Automatic Feed Company. He was also a Commissioned Officer with the United States Navy from 1992-1999 where he served in many different leadership capacities including Division Officer, Department Head, and Shift Engineer for a nuclear power reactor plant.

Education, Honors and Achievements
Hernandez holds a Master’s of Information Systems Management from Keller Graduate School of Management of DeVry University, and a Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering Technology from DeVry Institutes of Technology. He’s also working toward a Doctorate of Information Technology from Walden University

Personal Details and Community Involvement
Hernandez enjoys weight training, walking, golfing, reading and vacationing with his wife.
