Current Position and Past Experience
Nuno Fernandes is the President of American Public University System (APUS), leading its mission to deliver high-quality, accessible and affordable online higher education globally. Previously, he was President and CEO of Ilumno, a top global Online Program Manager. He spent the first decade of his career at Bosch, managing branding, marketing, sales and product management teams in the global consumer goods industry.

Education, Honors and Achievements
Fernandes holds a Master of Business Administration in Marketing from W.P. Carey School of Business – Arizona State University. He also has a Bachelor of Economics from FEP U. Porto. He has also participated in several executive education programs at Harvard Business School and Carnegie Mellon University, among others.

Personal Details and Community Involvement
Outside of work, he enjoys spending time with his son, who will be 11 soon. Being a dad is something he truly enjoys. He also enjoys going to the gym and tries to work out five times a week. Currently, he’s training for the Miami Marathon in January, which will be his third marathon if he can complete it!
