Current Position and Past Experience
Michael Hartmann currently serves as Principal of the Directors College at the DeGroote School of Business at McMaster University. He is also a Professor of Human Resources Management at the School.

Additionally, Hartmann serves as Principal of The Leadership Portfolio and as Visiting Professorial Fellow at Manchester Business School and Honorary Fellow at the Centre for Creative Leadership.

Previously, Hartmann was the Deputy Dean and CXO at Manchester Business School and the Assistant Dean of Rotman School of Management.

Education, Honors and Achievements
Hartmann earned an HBA at the University of Western Ontario in 1986. In 1989, he completed a MA at the University of Toronto-University College. He went on to earn his MBA at York University’s Schulich School of Business in 1994, and his Doctorate at the University of St. Gallen in 2008.
