Mark Kretovics | Associate Professor of Higher Education Administration, Kent State University

Current Position and Past Experience
Since July 2006, Mark Kretovics has been Associate Professor and Program Coordinator for Higher Education Administration and Student Personnel program at Kent State University, where his research interests include business practices in higher education, power and influence in higher education, and pedagogical issues in compressed courses. From 2015 to 2017, Kretovics concurrently served as Interim Dean of the College of Education, Health and Human Services at Kent State University.

Education, Honors and Achievements
Kretovics received his PhD in Education and Human Resources Studies from Colorado State University. He holds an MBA from Chaminade University of Honolulu and also an MS in Counseling & Student Development from Radford University. He served as a Fulbright Senior Specialist in Cambodia (2016) and Kyrgyzstan (2014). He is also a member of the Higher Learning Commission’s Institutional Action Council

Personal Details and Community Involvement
He enjoys traveling, hiking in the mountains, and working in his yard.
