Current Position and Past Experience
Maddie Ludt is the Assistant Director of Outreach and Engagement at the College of Professional and Continuing Studies from Mississippi State University. She leads efforts to connect students, community colleges, and industry partners by building the infrastructure of transfer pathways, employer partnerships, and programs that help students advance in their education or career. Maddie is particularly committed to supporting adult learners and transfer students, and her professional interests in student achievement, well-being, career transitions, and change management guide her work in developing partnerships and programs that support student success. Before entering higher education, Maddie built a diverse career as a librarian, data analyst, nonprofit director, business manager, and consultant across industries such as construction, healthcare, and manufacturing.
Education, Honors and Achievements
Maddie holds a Master of Library and Information Services (MLIS) from San Jose State University, a Bachelor of Science in Sports Management from York College of Pennsylvania, and she most recently earned a Graduate Certificate in Applied Leadership at Mississippi State University. Her academic path reflects the same nontraditional, learner-centered philosophy she brings to her work. Maddie is an active member of UPCEA and serves on the MEMS Conference Planning Committee and the UPCEA South Regional Leadership Team.
Personal Details and Community Involvement
Outside of work, Maddie acts in indie films and community theatre productions and performs standup comedy. She is equally at home in a mosh pit as on a hiking trail. Maddie is a member of the Rotary Club of Starkville and was a founding member of its After Hours Companion Club, for which she serves as chair-elect.
