Current Position and Past Experience
Luc Roy is the Chief Information Officer at Laurentian University in Sudbury, Ontario – a position he has held since 2010.

This is Roy’s first role in the postsecondary space after a career in private industry. Before joining Laurentian, he served as the VP of Product Management and Marketing at BlueCat Networks, and as the Vice President for Wireless Strategy with Enterasys Networks. This followed four years at Siemens, where he spent three years as VP of Wireless Strategy and one year as VP of Market Management.

Education, Honors and Achievements
Roy earned his BSc in Computer Science from the University of Ottawa in 1992.

Personal Details and Community Involvement
Roy’s wife, Carole, owns Old Rock Coffee in Sudbury, which Roy supports with business development expertise.

While Roy was in California, he was honored by the Positive Coaching Alliance for his work coaching youth hockey in San Jose. He is passionate about wine, coffee and networking.
