Current Position and Past Experience
Julie Peller is a recognized leader in postsecondary education policy. As Executive Director of Higher Learning Advocates, a post she has held since February 2017, Peller brings her knowledge of federal postsecondary education policy, federal budgeting and professional management to advocate for a new system of higher learning focused on quality, student outcomes and innovation. From 2013 to 2017, she served as Director of Federal Policy at Lumina Foundation, where she developed and led the Foundation’s strategy on federal policy to increase student attainment. Prior to this she was Deputy Staff Director of the Committee on Education and the Workforce.\

Education, Honors and Achievements
Peller holds an M.P.P. in Public Policy from Georgetown University and a B.A. in Political Science/Public Policy from George Washington University.
