Current Position and Past Experience
Jo-Anne Clarke is the Dean of the Division of Continuing Studies at University of Victoria. She is responsible for the overall leadership and guidance of the Division and works collaboratively with internal and external partners to ensure delivery of quality educational opportunities.
Prior to this position, she held senior administrative positions in the adult education field at University of Calgary and Alberta College of Art and Design. Jo-Anne has developed and taught courses in organizational behaviour, teamwork, communications, strategic planning, and project management in classroom and online platforms. She is a proponent of experiential learning and creative design.
Education, Honors and Achievements
Jo-Anne Clarke holds a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology and a Masters of Continuing Education from the University of Calgary, and a Masters of Arts and PhD in Human and Organizational Systems from Fielding Graduate University. Her doctoral research focused on sustainability entrepreneurship and the lived experiences of women leaders.
Personal Details and Community Involvementt
Music has been part of Jo-Anne’s life from a young age. She has performed with various groups over the years including professional tours across Canada and oversees. She still sings in a community choir, just for fun.
