Current Position and Past Experience
Janet Spriggs is the President at Forsyth Technical Community College and has been in this position since 2019. She is also an adjunct professor of practice for the Belk Center at North Carolina State University.

Janet’s journey in the North Carolina Community College System spans nearly three decades, marked by a deep commitment to using education as a lever for upward mobility and a driver of workforce and economic development. Some of her past roles over her career spanning almost three decades within the North Carolina Community College System include serving as COO and Vice President/CFO at Rowan-Cabarrus Community College for seven years and as Vice President of Administrative Services and CFO at Carteret Community College for 15 years.

Education, Honors and Achievements
Janet holds a Doctor of Education in Higher Education Administration from Northeastern University. She also has a Master of Science in Computing Technology in Education from Nova Southeastern University and a Bachelor of Science from Roger Williams University.

Personal Details and Community Involvement
Janet indulges in her love for writing, golf, photography, crocheting, and literature when she is not advocating for education. Her husband, Doug, and her children and grandchildren are her constant inspiration, and she covets time with family above all else, saying that "Gigi" is her favorite title.
