Current Position and Past Experience
Edwin Blanton has served as Assistant Vice Provost for Corporate Initiatives and Business Development at The University of Texas at San Antonio since February of 2022. From 2016 until 2022, he held the position of Associate Vice President and Executive Director of the Mays Centre for Experiential Learning and Community Engagement at Texas A&M University-San Antonio. Before that, he served over seven years at Trinity University in several roles, including Associate Director of Experiential Learning, and Coordinator for Community Service and Engagement.

Education, Honors and Achievements
Blanton received his Ph.D. in International Education and Entrepreneurship from the University of the Incarnate Word, as well as an MSA, a Bachelor of Science, and a bachelor’s degree in marketing from Southeast Missouri State University. He also earned an associate’s degree in business administration from Mineral Area College.

Personal Details and Community Involvement
Blanton is Co-Founder of Ready, Willing…Enable, a nonprofit organization dedicated to helping implement educational programs for children with disabilities in the Commonwealth of Dominica.
